As you may recall, in my last post I said that my 2008 resolution is to travel more. And travel I shall! Adam & I are hitting Ecuador in March, and Eastern Europe in May/June. I'm known for chickening out of things at the last minute, but with nonrefundable tickets that cost us a damn fortune, I'll have to suck it up and take the plunge. Who wants to babysit two rowdy cats??

The past two weeks have been a whirlwind of recovering from a dismal Evidence final exam and wallowing in holiday candy. Last weekend my friend Damian came to visit, and we went to see Rufus at the 9:30 Club. We got there an hour early, so that I could get nice and close, just in case Rufus fainted and needed someone to land on. Although the concert was really fantastic, I saw a whole lot of people who are even more Rufus-crazy than I, and it made me a tad embarrassed about my own level of obsession.

On Sunday Adam and I went to PA to visit my parents. Originally, my entire stepfamily was going to be there, and I was super excited to see my adorable niece and nephew. Everyone ditched, however (all for good reasons), so I thought the vacation would suck. It didn't, though. My stepmom kicks ass at Settlers of Catan (or, as my dad calls it, "the Mormon game," since my stepbrother's ex-sorta-wife, an ex-Mormon, gave it to my parents the Christmas they were sorta-married).

As I watch the abomination that is "what not to wear," I'm thinking of my New Year's resolutions. I still have some time, and I really don't want to fall back on previous years' "lose some of my ass" and "don't get dumped." I'm leaning toward traveling more. I just sent Adam a list of places I want to go, including Quito, Prague, and Bucharest! If anyone wants to send along a hefty donation, that would be faboo.
