We're back home! More to come shortly.

Adam & I went to Fenwick Island this weekend to hang with the in-laws at their beach house. We crammed a lot into the weekend - visiting all the beaches & boardwalks from Rehoboth to Ocean City (actually, we just drove through Ocean City), eating boatloads of delightful shaved ice, put-putting, jet-skiiing, and hippie store shopping. We went to visit the lighthouse, but there's not much to see.

It's remarkably far inland, and there's a locked gate surrounding it.

By the way, did Build-a-Bear come first, or Wacky Bear? Because they're the exact same store, as far as I can tell.

On an unrelated note, I'm watching Gilmore Girls right now, and Kirk is working at yet another random Star's Hollow location. Is there anywhere he hasn't worked? Does anyone hate Kirk as thoroughly as I do? Man, I hate him.

Although Harry has been in my family since fall of 2001, he didn't come to live with me and Adam until July of 2004. Things were fine for a while, but after we moved to Arlington, and stopped letting Harry sleep in bed with us, he started getting real yappy. So, in our infinite wisdom, we decided he was just lonely. We started looking to adopt a second cat, and as fate would have it, my sister was looking to get rid of her cat, Arthur. We just knew Harry and Arthur would be the perfect match. I had visions of them cuddling up together in front of our (non-existent) fireplace on cold wintry days. Perhaps one day with a puppy to spoon them both. Of course, they absolutely hated each other from the get-go, and I thought we had made a HUGE mistake. Things got better, but even up to now, they still fight on occasion. BUT, over the past week, they've suddenly seemed to be getting along. On Tuesday, Arthur graciously let Harry have the window seat for a full ten minutes (before he jumped onto Harry's back and swatted him on the head):

On Wednesday, Harry let Arthur groom him for a full thirty seconds:
Tonight, as I type this, they are both curled up IN THE SAME CHAIR:

Perhaps tomorrow I will wake up to find them snuggling!!!!!!
